About the Clinic
The acupuncture IVF support clinics in Sydney and Melbourne are the first and only of their kind in Australia. The first clinic was established in 2008 in response to evidence from repeated clinical trial results which demonstrate the benefits of acupuncture to IVF patients in terms of increased pregnancy and live birth rates.
It was also established to meet the demand that has come from couples undergoing IVF treatment, and from their specialist doctors, for high quality and predictable acupuncture support to be readily available and integrated into their IVF program.
In addition the acupuncture IVF support clinic provides a useful service to acupuncturists who would like their patients to receive acupuncture at particular times and on particular days of their IVF cycle but they are unable to provide it in their own clinic, or their clinic is too far distant from the IVF clinic.
The Acupuncture IVF Support clinics in Sydney city and East Melbourne have appointments available for short notice bookings 7 days a week and in Sydney Maroubra 4 days a week.
The Clinical Director of the acupuncture IVF support clinic, Jane Lyttleton is well known in Australia and abroad for her contribution to Chinese medicine particularly in the area of infertility. Jane has studied, practiced, taught and written about Chinese medicine and womens health for 30 years, and has worked with IVF patients and their doctors for 20 years.
Her text on “Treatment of Infertility with Chinese Medicine” published by Elsevier remains the seminal work in this area and is used by TCM practitioners who see patients with infertility. She personally chooses, trains and mentors the practitioners who work with her in the Sydney acupuncture IVF support clinic
